Our Story

Who We Are and How We Work

A small team of reviewers who read the fine print so you don't have to.

How this site started

This project began with a simple frustration: too many slot review pages repeat the same marketing copy the providers already publish, without checking whether it holds up. When we started digging into a title like Mahjong from JDB Gaming, we found RTP figures that didn't quite agree across databases, a release date that only showed up on a listing site rather than the provider's own page, and features described in slightly different ways from one portal to another.

We're not a large editorial operation. It's a handful of people who play, cross-check, and write, based mostly in Canada, with an interest in how slot mechanics actually behave rather than how they're advertised. None of us work for JDB Gaming or any casino operator, and none of us are paid to say a game is better than it is.

What keeps us doing this is the belief that a review site should be useful even when the answer is 'we don't know for certain.' If a provider hasn't published a spec, we say so instead of filling the gap with a number that sounds plausible. That approach is slower and less flattering than confident-sounding copy, but it's the only version of this we're willing to publish under our own name.

Our method and our limits

For a game like Mahjong, our process is the same as for any other title we cover: we pull data from the provider's official site first, then compare it against slot databases, casino listings, and independent review portals. When sources agree, we treat the figure as reliable. When they disagree, as with the RTP readings we found for this game, we report the range and move on rather than pretending certainty we don't have.

We also try to be upfront about what we get out of this. Some of the casinos and platforms mentioned on this site are partners, and if you click through and sign up, we may earn a commission. That relationship never decides which games we cover or what we say about them. A slot with a weak feature set or an unpublished RTP gets described that way whether or not a partner offers it.

We update pages when new information surfaces, correct mistakes when readers point them out, and would rather leave a gap in a spec table than guess. If something on this site looks wrong to you, or you've found a more current source, we want to hear about it.

This site is informational and does not accept wagers. Some outbound links to casinos are affiliate links, and we may be compensated if you register through them; this never influences our reviews or ratings. Gambling involves financial risk and is intended for players 19 and older in most of Canada, and 18 and older in Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec. If gambling stops being entertainment for you, resources like ConnexOntario or the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction can help.
